And then the lecture itself—schizophrenia, persecutory delusions, the case study of a woman who believed her family wanted to kill her. Ruan Zhizhi is taking notes on this while her own life mirrors pieces of it: the paranoia about Li Sicheng, the fear that reaching out will only hurt more, the sense that she's the only one who sees the danger in getting close to Shi Yan. The umbrella is another symbol I can't stop thinking about. He lent it to her, she returns it folded and neat, plus medicine 'just in case.' It's this tiny object that carries so much—care disguised as obligation, connection disguised as coincidence. And the rain that never seems to stop in this story? It's always there, damp and heavy, matching the emotional atmosphere perfectly. One-sided desire as a recurring motif—Ruan Zhizhi spent seven years loving someone who didn't love her back, and now she's walking toward someone who might, but she's terrified of repeating the cycle. The author keeps asking: is it courage or foolishness to keep loving?
The writing quality is good and the author has some good past works so I'm sure this will be good
I wasn't expecting this level of storytelling. It's like watching a blockbuster movie in novel formEvery chapter leaves me wanting more. The pacing is just right

Solid writing and strong world building. Love thee way the story iss being laid out. I especially love Kaelion’s personality, as well as his banter with Lyraea. The intensity of Lyraea's encounter with Mara? Top tier stuff ?.
I am so excited to dig into this novel! My fave author writing a werewolf novel! I can’t wait to see how this develops. The pitfalls and vulnerability of humanity but the passion fierce determination and animal instincts of werewolves. And then there is the connection/monologues between human and wolf. And my fave subject, mates. Hopefully a blessing not a curse. 5 chapters in and our leading lady is not backing down! Get living or else…is her mantra. Let’s bring them to their knees! Especially the strongest alpha…we will see❤️❤️❤️
I love the start to this. The detail almost flows around you as it drags you under and into this world the author has created, like the rapids of a river. One thing I would say however is that it is slightly hard t understand sometimes when it comes to the dialogue.
