Honestly, this book exceeded my expectations significantly. The pacing is fantastic, and the male lead (ML) is intelligent, not wasting any time in his pursuit of the female lead (MC), unlike many other novels that tend to drag on unnecessary subplots. What truly surprised me was the ML's character development - initially, I anticipated a merging of the original (OG) and current versions of Pei Ming, but it turned out that they remained distinct entities. In the end, the MC ended up with the OG Pei Ming, which was an unexpected twist.
This novel broadened my perspective on how stories can conclude, as the plot was refreshingly unpredictable. That's all I have to say for now. Enjoy your reading!
