Okay, Feng Chunhong. Just… what. I swear every time she shows up I want to throw something at the page. The woman is a masterclass in performative victimhood. She hid all the food deliberately hoping to cause a scene, and when that doesn't work, she immediately pivots to accusing Jiang Tianxu of wasting money eating in town. And then—get this—when the family division is actually happening, she puts on this whole show of being concerned, saying 'we're still one family.' ONE FAMILY? You hid the food, you cursed at everyone, you've been poisoning this household for chapters. And Jiang Qingfeng just sits there muttering like a broken record. The man has zero spine. Meanwhile Jiang Tianxu? He just… walks away. No argument, no drama. That's the most satisfying character moment in this whole batch. He's not even annoyed anymore. He's past it. Two days of seeing normal families and he's already tired of his own home. That line hit me hard because it shows how much he's changed—not just in circumstances but in his actual tolerance threshold. Ge Chunsheng calling Feng Chunhong 'quite a character' and then sighing about how she doesn't get tired of performing—yeah, same. Does SHE get tired? Because I definitely do.

Are the 2 Alpha Nox books the same or is one a sequel? The number of chapters is different but they start out very similarly, so I figured I would ask. And if they are a series, which one should I read first?

This is a great book to read. Sweet, short and to the point with no unnecessary third party drama.
