The concept is fantastic, but the character development falls short. The author fails to provide adequate descriptions of their appearances; for instance, all we get is a simple statement like, "He had white hair." This lack of detail extends to virtually every character, leaving readers puzzled. Additionally, the vagueness surrounding battles and events does not contribute to a clear understanding. The fight scenes feel平淡 due to the insufficient description, making it hard to grasp the intensity since the battlefields are inadequately depicted as empty expanses.
Despite my admiration for the premise, I feel the pacing is rushed. Although we've witnessed some demonstrations of the protagonist's abilities, there has been no clear exposition of his limits, activation requirements, or a technical explanation of his powers. While the story is enjoyable, I believe it is currently receiving more praise than it deserves. It appears that the character writing, as praised by some who have read the Multiverse translation, may be overhyped – though everyone's preferences differ.
I genuinely and wholeheartedly adore this story. The protagonist, Heyan, is an outstanding female lead - she's strong, loyal, intelligent, and endearing. Reading about her fills me with joy. I equally adore the male lead, Xiao Jin - he comes across as very perceptive upon reflection. Both of their families are dear to my heart, especially her younger brother.
Update 2: This novel keeps improving with each turn of the page! I can't even express how incredible it is without giving away any spoilers. You absolutely must read this!
Update 1: The novel is already a standout, especially Chapter 17, which left me utterly speechless. The writing is delicate, tender, and heart-wrenching. It evoked emotions I hadn't felt in weeks. The storytelling is masterful, and the author truly shines. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!

What an intense, melancholic atmosphere! The protagonist sits in a café, savoring a coffee made by his deceased friend who now shares his despair for a hopeful future. Through the character's reflections, we delve into his 1183 potential memories – stories that have been lost in time, experienced by him alone, spanning tens of millennia for others. Each moment, though yet to unfold in reality, unfolds before us. Despite giving up on the world, the rare coffee tasting becomes a poignant reminder of his past.
I'm only at the beginning, but the promise and execution are impressive. The translation is top-notch, too. Thanks to WeTried Translations for their excellent work!

Maybe so, but I strongly prefer to read consistent and at least somewhat professionally translated novels. I might endure the MTL if I get desperate for new books.
I'll be honest, I read this novel months ago and today I will start my second reading. So, as a long time reader trying to read MTL (just try since in the demons arc I didn't understand sh*t) I have the right to say that this novel is not very good.
If I had to compare it to anything it would be to a sweet or salty snack, i.e. not as good as a ready meal, but not so bad as to be inedible. Also, even though it fails to nourish the body (expectations) you can still enjoy it a bit. However, beware, if overeaten (read without stopping) such a meal/novel will become tiresome.
In fact, I'd rather reread another novel in this same style called *This Game Is Too Realistic*, but that story, unfortunately, takes too long to update.
