A compelling novel without elements of reincarnation, extraordinary character traits, or tragic plot. The storytelling is solid, and occasional translation errors regarding gender, where a female character is mistakenly rendered as male, do not significantly disrupt the reading experience. The protagonist is an ordinary child, but their positive attitude and drive make for an engaging narrative.
