I really dislike it. The writing style feels lifeless, as if Zagan is just narrating his own story in a journal, rushing through the plot to get to the explicit content. It’s like when you’re imagining a scenario and your mind keeps skipping to the exciting parts. Additionally, this webtoon handles rape so casually that it's deeply unsettling. In the original story, the main character is depicted as evil and vile for raping his sister, whom he initially didn’t know was related to him. But even after finding out, he locks her up and continues to abuse her. I stopped reading after Chapter 2, Part 1, and I don’t want to continue.

Rating: 3.5

The story was decent for a smut novel, and the two main characters carried the plot most of the time. However, the side characters were rather underwhelming, and it felt like the author neglected their development until the last dozen chapters, where it was all dumped at once. Not only that, but these final chapters were heavily laden with dialogue and lore dumps, seemingly just for world-building purposes. To the point that you could probably skip half of them without affecting the story.

The smut scenes were fine, though.

To be honest, if you didn’t connect with the characters, it’s pretty tough to keep reading through the later chapters, as the basic story progression grinds to a halt. The conclusion isn’t particularly memorable either.

In summary, I can only say that the setting is quite unique and the plot was intriguing at first, while the main character and love interest seemed to do all the heavy lifting.

Sure, here’s the rewritten content:

Okay, so first off, the smut was good. If I were to rate it, I'd give it an 8.5/10 (I just have pretty high standards).

The plot building was great. It's a typical "transmigrated into a game" plot, but it was well-executed.

The characters were okay, but I got a bit bored halfway through. Did Zagan ever tell Luca his real name? I can’t even remember it anymore, lol.

The story is good, and I’ll definitely continue reading it if I ever have the time.

I really don't like Luka right now. This is a spoiler, but I'll reveal outside of it that if you don't like dub-con and non-con, as well as gaslighting, you will probably have a beef with him, too.

I never liked dubious consent in the first place, and he already had a mark against him during his first romantic encounter with the main character (MC). There were the typical eroge excuses for him to get away with it, but it was totally non-consensual, no ifs, ands, or buts. The MC agreed to be with him for reasons I'll never understand, but Chapters 16-17 really made me want the MC to dump him. Not only did he do something the MC, whom he claims to love, clearly felt uncomfortable with, but he did so to bully the MC into revealing something that wasn't even his business. He even gaslighted the MC into believing he was the one at fault, apologizing with genuine tears running down his face. This was most certainly not an act of love, so I can't help but disdain the male lead (ML).

Since I can't really ship the main couple anymore, I found that I've just been skimming since that scene, potentially missing crucial information for the plot. However, this incident is what most people refer to when they dislike the story, so maybe it'll be better from this point. I won't rate it right now, since I'm still mad, and I'll try to forget the story exists for a bit. I'll come back later, once I forget what Luka did, and pick up where I left off.

My advice? Skip Chapters 16 and 17. They're smutty chapters that redirect you to a different website, so it's easy to do. All you need to know is that the MC told Luka what he'd been trying to solve on his own. Without knowing anything else, you can enjoy them figuring out solutions together and maintain the innocent misunderstanding that Luka may deserve the MC.

The story is quite detailed. I love the interactions between Zagan and Luca. The book is very interesting, and I have a feeling there are more plots hidden. I like the fact that it doesn't just focus on the smut.

Now, what I'm about to say is just a speculation as to why Luca said these sentences:

"Don't do such dangerous things again. When you left for the forest then, you hadn't met me yet, so it couldn't be helped. But from now on, I'll be by your side. That's why you don't have to do everything by yourself. If you try doing such things by yourself again... I'll have to punish you."

And what he meant by this one, "This time I'll definitely----"

Luca is the reincarnation of the Soleil god, and the love story is real but a bit different and more complicated. Zagan is the Moon goddess, and the Dark Organization, probably the leader, is the Evil God? Or maybe the Evil God is the Moon goddess who became corrupted or a part of the Moon goddess that gained consciousness. So when he 'kidnapped' her, he might have just merged with her. When Soleil sealed him, he didn't find her.

So maybe Zagan's past life was his second life, and in his first life, he was the Moon goddess. When he reincarnated, Soleil sensed his presence and reincarnated as Luca. He is two years younger than Zagan, who would have been three when Luca was born. At that age, they couldn't just shave Zagan's head and hide his attributes. And the reason why Luca said not to go there again might be because he is afraid of losing Zagan like he did before.

I don't know. I just had to write this.

I read this story for the plot, stayed for the smut *with* plot.

It starts out with a dubcon prologue that would most likely repel a lot of people. I stuck around despite it, and didn’t regret it at all.

As with a lot of smutty BL stories, many are accompanied by dubcon and noncon elements. This one, however, has a protagonist who enjoys the sex. Since he’s also labeled as a tsundere, the line between there being consent and it having none is often blurry.

I personally gained an immunity for such stories, and have seen worse tragedy novels, so I wasn’t really bothered. The plot was what really interested me.

I especially like how the MC was different from the original villain, and so his life turned out differently as well. From the get-go, other than being shackled by his identity as a dark attribute user, the MC was his own person. Starting from early chapters, he also didn’t think of the world as a game, even if he had an idea of what would happen. He thought Luca falling in love with him and becoming gay was really weird considering the original plot, but he wasn’t in complete denial because he really thought of Luca as a person. He accepted the fact that this world was similar but different, and that his actions would inevitably change things.

My favorite part about this is how the MC is stronger than Luca. It produced a really interesting dynamic of a powerful supposed last boss villain x a newbie, still weak, protagonist. The world-building is pretty in-depth too, really making it settle in that the eroge the MC reincarnated into had become a living, breathing world.

I like this story so far, with a good balance of fluff and smut. The story is interesting to me, especially how the main character interacts with the love interest at certain points. The pacing is fine, and what really drew me in was the smut.

I have to say, I'm really looking forward to the smut chapters or scenes!

I avoid stories with rape and related content, so I'm relieved this one doesn't have that. It's like finding a hidden gem for me.

The story has a compelling plot that keeps you engaged, which is a significant plus for someone like me who usually gets bored with stories quickly. The main character (MC) is overpowered right from the beginning, but not in an annoying way. He approaches situations rationally and is quite intelligent. The male lead (ML) is very caring, but he has a high libido, which introduces elements of dubious consent. While it’s not outright rape, the consent is ambiguous, making it a bit concerning. Fortunately, this situation only occurs once. What stands out is how understanding and supportive the ML is when the MC expresses uncertainty about his feelings, which is a refreshing change from the typical forceful behavior seen in many R-18 novels. This novel is truly a hidden gem among R-18 stories and is well-translated. I would rate it 4.5 out of 5.

However, while I enjoy it, take my review with a grain of salt. If it doesn’t appeal to you, it’s best not to read it.

I wasn't expecting much... but I like it... a lot.

The main character (MC) takes on the role of 'Zagan,' who is originally supposed to be a villain. However, the current Zagan is someone who is not really a villain at all. He's supposed to be scary and intimidating, dark and edgy, feared for his dark magic. Yet, Zagan really seems to love animals, going so far as to follow the male lead (ML), Luca, whenever he does a commission involving animals. Since he's already there, he might as well pet them, right?

...

What is this "gap moe"??? Isn't he supposed to be scary and intimidating? I can totally see where Luca is coming from when he says that Zagan is too cute. This guy, this S-rank adventurer, feared user of dark magic, is way too cute?!

Ah, unfortunately, I am very biased towards Zagan, so as long as Zagan remains in the story, I will keep reading it.

Plot? What's that? Is it something I can eat? Their first intimate scene is dub-con, and Zagan accepts it as it is. He really doesn't try to reject any of Luca's advances. Isn't that dangerous? He's trying to take advantage of you; shouldn't you say something?

Luca, too, isn't it dangerous for you to be seen with a dark mage? Are you not afraid of anything? His dirty talk is also... way too much. Yeah, this guy. He's a pervert. As expected of an eroge protagonist.

Contrary to my expectations, there is no harem for the ML despite it being based on an eroge. Which is good for me. I was really dreading it. He's just too in love with Zagan. It's actually very cute how much he loves him.

Well, I like it a lot. Don't go into this novel expecting any plot or you will be disappointed. But if you're looking for intimate scenes and a very cute MC who is also a little overpowered and a very doting ML, then this is perfect.
