In fact, I don't particularly like the main character (MC). Most of his accomplishments aren't attributed to his own knowledge or skills, yet he takes all the credit. For instance, claiming Sun Tzu's 'The Art of War' as entirely his own work. Even though Sun Tzu comes from another world, I still find the MC's actions morally questionable. He's a dishonest individual with no sense of integrity, even if external circumstances pushed him to act that way. It's just not my type of protagonist.

As for the male lead (ML), I'm curious why people find him appealing. Is it his appearance – his handsome face or fit physique? Perhaps it's his alleged prowess in providing enjoyable experiences? Or maybe the explicit scenes are what draw readers in, causing them to overlook his inner qualities. If that's the case, then I can understand, but it's not my preference.

Nonetheless, I must admit that I still enjoy reading this novel, primarily due to the action-packed elements. I'm quite intrigued by the author's decision to abandon that aspect, and I'm eager to see how the story concludes.

Originally, I intended to rate this novel five stars, but several factors led me to settle for three instead. The translation quality significantly deteriorates after Volume 3, Chapter 5, and there's a substantial gap in content until Volume 4. Although you can find complete volumes on Scribd, the translation doesn't improve significantly until Volumes 5 or 6. If you're sensitive to grammatical errors and misspellings, this might be a deal-breaker for you.

The storyline itself is commendable, brimming with humor, romance, intricate politics, and well-developed characters. However, what ultimately drags the rating down is the main character's portrayal. Despite being in his late teens and witnessing harsh realities, he remains alarmingly naive, acting like a spoiled child. His naivety becomes frustrating, especially when he consistently avoids confrontation and seeks to please everyone, even those who betray him. He develops an almost unhealthy attachment to his adversaries, which is reminiscent of Stockholm syndrome.

He acknowledges his flaws but refuses to confront them or make efforts to improve. His meddling in others' affairs lands him in trouble repeatedly, endangering those he cares about. After each rescue, he apologizes profusely and resorts to physical intimacy with the main love interest, seemingly using sex as a form of atonement (akin to a "penance prostitute"). Although hailed as a genius, his actions demonstrate a lack of wisdom despite his extensive knowledge from his previous world.

In summary, I often find myself frustrated with the main character's behavior, wishing for a more mature and self-aware protagonist.

I hold this novel in immense affection; it was the catalyst that introduced me to the world of light novels. It's a true masterpiece, evoking a range of emotions - it brought tears to my eyes and laughter, all woven together into a breathtaking tapestry of beauty.

However, despite being a transmigrated character, the main character isn't invincible; I sometimes wish they had more power.

The dynamics between the couple are entertaining, with a unique and humorous reversal where one openly admits past experiences as a submissive, which was common during that era. Their relationship leans more towards a 3:7 dynamic, with the main character carrying 75% and the other 25%. Surprisingly, what initially seemed like a shallow harem romance evolved into a deeper, more complex narrative as the series progressed.

For those considering giving this a try, I'd advise against forming judgments based on the first few chapters. However, there are significant drawbacks. The main characters abruptly change their behavior, making their relationship development feel forced. The romantic scenes lack depth and authenticity, and most importantly, there's a glaring absence of sexual tension or attraction, which is crucial for the genre. From around chapter 17, it seems as though the author regresses to a more adolescent writing style, focusing excessively on passionate kisses. I reluctantly continued until then, but looking back, I regret my decision. The main character earns a mere ⅕ for inconsistency, while side characters are virtually non-existent.

The world-building fares poorly, offering nothing new or innovative, which is why I give it a 0 out of 5. It's hard to make a fair judgment with just one volume read, but for those seeking quality yaoi or shounen ai, I'd recommend "The Legendary Master's Wife" or "True Star" instead.

I gave it ⅖ simply because it's a yaoi novel, despite its shortcomings.
