Super cute, I really like the gong type of character (henpecked, haha). The extras were also very nice, especially the one where their parents were all alive, showing what could have been and highlighting how all the problems in the entire novel were caused by the protagonist’s father. I wish their future lives were elaborated on a bit more (like their jobs, what happened to Xiaoxiao, etc.), but the novel is already very good either way. The story didn’t feel long or dragged out, and even the misunderstanding about being poor was resolved halfway through—it wasn’t the main antagonistic device (I’m not sure what to call that). The side characters are okay in terms of development; you can tell they have distinct personalities and they do teach the MC things, but I just feel they aren’t very central. Then again, they are side characters. The humor was also quite funny; I think the shameless humor is what I find amusing, so if you enjoy that kind of humor, definitely check this out.
