A simple trap made by Qin Ziheng using a square bamboo board (about half a meter long), a pointed bamboo stick, and a grass vine. The board is weighted unevenly so that when wild fowl steps on it, it flips up and the animal drops into a pit below. Qin Ziheng concealed it with bamboo leaves and baited it with earthworms.
