Magistrate of Lianzhou and Chu Linlang's husband. An upright gentleman who is rash and arrogant, having slapped Zhang Xian twice at a banquet. He rescued Chu Linlang from being a concubine and married her despite his mother's objections. He is proud and refuses to admit fault, leaving Chu Linlang to manage the political fallout.
