Also known as the Minghe Emperor. The third son of the Great Ancestor Zhong Yu. He succeeded the throne and took the era name Minghe. In the twenty-first year of his reign, he was assassinated, became paralyzed, and later fell into a deep coma. He plotted for years to destroy the Zhao family, executing the entire family on flimsy evidence. He passed the throne to Zhong Rui and titled himself the Retired Emperor.
