A sorcerer living at Ziyun Pavilion in the palace. He was brought in by the Empress Dowager to guide the dog emperor in seeking immortality and concocting pills for eternal life. He was accused by a pharmacist of deceiving the emperor by using bird's nest in pill-making, which the pharmacist claimed had no basis in immortality.
