Cheng Xin, a dedicated Chief Financial Officer who had spent years supporting her boyfriend Zhao Feng through his startup, discovers she is a character in a novel destined for tragedy. After dreaming of her fictional counterpart’s downfall in a psychiatric hospital, Cheng Xin witnesses Zhao Feng’s first love, Qian Jiaojiao, moving into his home with her young son.
