A subordinate of Pei Xuan who leads a group of men in black. He is responsible for investigating identities and searching for the Huai Prince's jade seal. He shows concern for Pei Xuan's safety and occasionally acts on his own initiative, for which he fears punishment. He is puzzled by Pei Xuan's unusual kindness toward Gu Qingyan and his reluctance to exploit the Li family scandal for political gain.
