Male antagonist, Ji Chunhua's abusive husband and the only son of the Zhang family in Dahuaishu Village. His name was given by his illiterate father after a neighbor's dog gave birth to puppies on the day he was born. He is cruel to his wife and daughters, calling Ji Chunhua a 'wench' and planning to beat her again. He is cowardly when confronted by multiple men and fears Ji Chunhua's brothers.
