One of the Zhang brothers, a squad leader in Team 3 of the Sikanzi brigade. He was saved by Lu Yao and had invested in Yu Zhen's gambling operation. He and his brother waited anxiously at the Educated Youth Office, went out twice on bicycles searching for the newcomers, and later spied on Lu Yao at Aunt Yao's house, resulting in them being kicked by Lu Yao.
