A boy of about ten years old, the son of a middle-aged man in a dark blue robe. He was renamed Mei after a Taoist master saved his life when he was three. He has eighteen godfathers (trees) and has watered and paid respects to them for six years. He is well-mannered, talkative, and admires Zhenyi's riddle-solving skills.
