Female, Xu Weizhao's grandmother. A retired teacher who doted on her ill-fated granddaughter. She raised Xu Weizhao singlehandedly despite all the pressure after Xu's parents divorced and nearly sent her to a boarding school at age eight. She is now aging and lives separately from Xu Weizhao, with whom she stays in close contact by phone.
