A man of exceptional talent and unyielding pride, running Bai Lu Academy. He is the most respected scholar in all of Dazhao, and even the emperor shows him deference. He lives with uncompromising integrity and never bows to the powerful. He accepts one personal disciple every three years, with only a little over ten disciples in total. He was Fourth Master Jiang's classmate and close friend at the academy for six years, sharing life-and-death bonds. Despite their fierce arguments over calligraphy and writings, they are genuine friends.
