Also known as Sergeant Xue or Squad Leader Xue. A military sergeant who had previously offered the Song siblings a ride from Qingping Town to the county seat. He was stationed at the military station construction site and enthusiastically helped the siblings choose a house, acting more familiar and clingy than even Song Dekui. He became resentful when the siblings rejected his recommended house and showed coldness toward him. He commanded ten men and asserted authority over the local civilian residents.
