The protagonist, a woman who survived ten years in the post-apocalyptic era with bio-enhancements giving her robust muscles and combat skills. She jumped into a river to escape a mutated rat swarm in an abandoned shelter, and crossed over to ancient times before the Great Cataclysm, inhabiting the body of a girl with the same name who was from the eldest branch of the Song family in Xiao Shi Village. She is the granddaughter of Old Woman Gu (through her father Second Son Song's side), and has two younger brothers named Zhenping and Zhen'an (also called Xiao'an). She is cautious, alert, and has survival instincts honed from the apocalypse.
