A teacher at Baiyun Elementary in the Baiyun brigade, two years younger than Zhenzhen. He drives a donkey cart and gives Zhenzhen a ride home. He is supportive of Shi Huaiming and defends him against rumors, telling Zhenzhen not to listen to gossip. He grew up playing with Shi Huaiming and believes he is not the kind of person who would shirk responsibility or divorce Zhenzhen easily. He is a neighbor and friend to the family.
