The son of Wang Qiao and Xue Sheng, nearly sixteen years old. He is slow-witted from birth, fat, and clumsy. Despite his simplicity, he has learned enough mischief to torment the child bride, sometimes splashing hot water on her and slapping her. He calls the girl 'Fairy sister' because she looks like fairies in paintings. He is delighted when his parents are gone during the day since his mother does not scold him.
