The head of the Xie family who bribed the chief examiner to obtain exam questions for his son Xie Weisong in last year's Autumn Examination. He is also suspected of fraud in the previous Spring Examination. He holds the position of Zuo Du Yushi and is one of the principal offenders in a major case being investigated by the Court of Judicial Review.
