A staff officer of the 11th Division's Training Department, traveling with his wife Yu Honghong in the same sleeper compartment. He is a battalion-level officer. He initially mistakes Lu Chongfeng for an ordinary soldier on a special assignment. He is polite and formal, giving a proper salute when he realizes who Lu Chongfeng is. He declines the ride in the division vehicle, saying it wouldn't be proper for a battalion-level officer.
