Also known as Dowager Queen Xia or Empress Dowager Xia, she is the widow of King Xiaowen of Qin and Cheng Jiao's grandmother. Once Buddhist and detached, she harbored lifelong resentment toward Hua Yang for stealing her husband and son. Driven by greed for power in her old age, she plotted to poison Ying Zheng and place Cheng Jiao on the throne as her puppet ruler.
