Also known as Immortal Master Xu. A Fangshi who entered the palace two months prior and quickly rose to become the leader among the Fangshi due to his Immortal Aura appearance and vivid descriptions of the Overseas Immortal Island. He is described as a fraud who claimed the Emperor's illness was caused by evil spirits, advising against medicine and instead persuading the Emperor to consume elixirs and drink talisman water. He also manipulated the Emperor into undertaking massive construction projects by claiming unfavorable feng shui. After learning that the State Preceptor visited the Emperor before his elixir was delivered, he became anxious but decided the situation was not yet urgent enough to flee immediately, considering collaboration instead.
