The leader of a squad of street children who work for Holmes. He has sharp eyes and uses slang, calling Arna a Greenland (novice). He spreads rumors about Arna being a soft country fool to lure thieves. He is described as uncharacteristically solemn when noting that some of the street children are not bad, just hungry.
