Wang Dingxiang is the wife of the village chief and the mother of Lu Hongying. She is heartbroken over her daughter's rejection and tries to pull Lu Hongying away from the wedding scene. She feels resentment toward the Lu family for ignoring her daughter in favor of marrying someone from the city. She silently curses the Lu family as she leaves, glaring at Tang Wan.
