He was confined by Ancestor Hongjun in Zixiao Palace for several Kalpas but refused to reflect, growing angrier the more he thought about it. He possessed memories of the future after returning to the past. He was deeply hurt by the betrayal of his senior brothers Laozi and Yuanshi, who joined forces with the Western Sages. He left Kunlun Mountain in a restless state and wandered to the Shore of the Eastern Sea, where he encountered the green-dressed child who called him 'Papa' and 'Daddy,' establishing a Master-Disciple karmic bond through the Heavenly Dao's intervention.
