My Dad is Tongtian Jiaozhu

The Heavenly Dao, having finally achieved a period of peace after the Investiture of the Gods Cataclysm, finds its tranquility shattered by a temporal anomaly. A cultivator named Lin Fan, seeking to seize the Fortune of the Human Race and attain the Dao, attempts to reverse time. This disruption also pulls Tongtian Jiaozhu, the Sect Leader of the Intercepting Sect, back to the past. Tongtian retains his memories of the future, including the devastating betrayal by his senior brothers Laozi and Yuanshi, the destruction of his Doctrinal Lineage, and the suffering of his disciples who were turned into mounts for the Western Paradise. Driven by resentment and a desire to alter his fate, Tongtian returns to the era before the Witch-Demon War, restless and hostile toward his brothers.

To stabilize the timeline and ensure the predetermined cataclysms proceed as planned, the Heavenly Dao recruits a "variable" from the future—a modern corporate worker—to act as an agent within the Primordial World. However, due to a miscalculation involving Tribulation Lightning, this agent is transformed into a three-year-old child with the mental capacity of a toddler. The Heavenly Dao rushes the child to Tongtian, instructing her to declare herself as his disciple to establish a karmic connection. Instead, the child, confused and simple-minded, prostrates herself and shouts "Daddy," inadvertently forming a father-daughter bond rather than a master-disciple one. The Heavenly Dao is forced to accept this outcome, as the karmic tie is now sealed, and Tongtian, bound by the connection, reluctantly takes the child in.

Tongtian, who had planned to enter a thousand-year meditation to plot his revenge against his brothers, finds his plans derailed by the immediate and demanding needs of the child, whom he names Taichu. He is completely inexperienced in raising a human child, as his previous disciples were all demon beasts who joined him at maturity. The situation becomes critical when Taichu falls ill with a high fever after Tongtian mistakenly feeds her excessive amounts of spiritual water, unaware that human infants require proper nutrition. On the verge of losing her, Tongtian is confronted by his elder brother Laozi, who has come to investigate. Laozi diagnoses the condition as indigestion caused by overfeeding and successfully treats Taichu, revealing that the child is merely hungry and undernourished.

The incident forces Tongtian to confront his inability to protect even this fragile new dependent, mirroring his past failure to save his disciples. This realization hardens his resolve; he refuses to abandon Taichu and decides to actively care for her, rejecting Laozi’s suggestion to sever the connection or inform Yuanshi. The Heavenly Dao, observing from the sidelines, provides a modern childcare handbook to assist Tongtian, who begins to study it earnestly. As Taichu grows, her limited vocabulary revolves around basic needs like hunger and thirst, often demanding modern items like "McDonald's" or "cola," which baffle the ancient cultivators. Tongtian, once a proud Sage destined to face four other Saints, now finds himself navigating the mundane challenges of parenting, including cooking and shopping for baby supplies.

Meanwhile, the original anomaly, Lin Fan, arrives in the past and approaches Zhunti, the future Sage of the Western Paradise, intending to ally with him to gather beautiful female cultivators from Tongtian’s sect. The story establishes a dual conflict: Tongtian must raise Taichu while secretly plotting to change the tragic fate of his sect, and the Heavenly Dao must ensure that the presence of this variable does not unravel the cosmic order. Tongtian’s relationship with his brothers remains strained; he rejects their counsel and isolates himself with Taichu, determined to forge a new path that defies the Heavenly Dao’s original design. The narrative follows Tongtian’s transition from a vengeful sect leader to a protective father, as he balances his grand ambitions with the immediate, chaotic demands of raising a child from the future.
