An impoverished, frail, and gaunt citizen of Ammett whose parents were accidentally killed by the wealthy merchant's car. He was used to losing cases against the wealthy and showed only numbness and weariness upon initially hearing the not-guilty verdict. He felt deep contempt for the court system. When the true verdict declared the merchant guilty, he was stunned and unable to process what had happened.
