The ungrateful father of the original Gu Qinghuan. During the great revolution, he betrayed his wife and father-in-law, severing ties with them to climb the social ladder. He later married a second wife (a fox) who brought along a daughter. He allowed his daughter Gu Qinghuan to be sent to the countryside for re-education when his second wife became pregnant.
