A group of four male survivors Su Yun encounters in a narrow alley while gathering supplies. They are equipped with backpacks and cigarettes. They consider themselves far-sighted for going out early to search for supplies, two days before most people realized chaos was coming. They knew the military zones had suppressed news of soldier infections. Three of them went to search the food street while these four provided backup. They discuss Su Yun after she passes, noting she is the first woman they have seen in days daring to go out for supplies.
