An orphan woman whose husband bullied and beat her daily. She earned money through embroidery and odd jobs to support her family, but her husband drank and spent her money bribing county yamen officials to block her complaints. She eventually filed a cross-complaint at the prefect's yamen and was flogged fifty times, leaving her back covered in blood and half dead.
