Qin Yan's tutor and the dean of the medical school, an old man in his seventies. He has cancer but is keeping it secret from his family. He uses his illness to emotionally blackmail Qin Yan into staying at the school and helping him complete unfinished work. Despite his manipulative behavior, he cares about Qin Yan's future and wants her to shine in what she is good at rather than suffer in company affairs. His acupuncture skills are considered by Qin Yan to be inferior to hers.
