The owner and manager of the old Jixiang Tavern. He is sharp and observant, tasting the dishes and negotiating the recipe purchase. He initially offers fifty taels of silver for one recipe and later agrees to seventy taels for multiple recipes including pickled dishes and four pig offal preparations. He is impressed by the food and treats Qin Zhao with osmanthus cake and tea.
