Li Zhuang, also known as Fang or the eldest lady Fang, is a female character and the eldest daughter-in-law of the Duke's mansion's eldest son. She was upset about not being invited to the banquet for important guests at the Duke's mansion, feeling it was unfair treatment and a hint that she and her husband were not important enough. She has always been at odds with Shen Ruojin, often confronting each other. Fang tried to expose Shen Ruojin's inability to manage the household by bringing up Qin, a concubine who was using extravagant supplements. When Shen Ruojin did not react as expected, Fang suspected it was a trap. Fang then turned the tables by accusing Shen Ruojin of meddling in family matters and preparing for the Crown Prince to inherit the title while the Duke was still alive. Shen Ruojin reminded Fang that she had no family education and treated her husband's concubines and maids poorly, and that Fang had a reputation for being jealous. Fang's family was not as wealthy as Ruojin's, and Ruojin's family was unwilling to pay a dowry.
