Tao Tao's paternal grandmother who lived in the village. She fell ill and was hospitalized, where Tao Tao's father, uncle, second uncle, and aunts took turns caring for her. Tao Tao would cook porridge and dishes at home and bicycle to the hospital to deliver meals during winter break.
