A seven-year-old boy, the son of Auntie Yu, who came to live with the Tao family after her marriage to Tao Guangzhi. He is exceptionally fair-skinned with narrow double eyelids, jet-black pupils, and a perky little nose. Quiet, clean, and beautiful-looking, he barely speaks and prefers playing with his toys alone. Eight-year-old Tao Tao found him boring and unfun. He later died, though Tao Tao never knew the exact details. After leaving the Tao family, he went with Auntie Yu to Hong Kong to find his eldest uncle.
