The matriarch of the Tang family, mother of Tang Dayong, Tang Laoer, and Tang Laosan. She is cruel, greedy, and biased, hoarding food for her own branch while letting her eldest son's widow and orphans starve. She abuses and expels Li Qiushuang and her children.
