The main antagonist who betrayed Mu Nanyin. He helped General Mu Qingyun ascend the throne with secret assistance, then had the entire Mu family executed. He had an affair with Mu Bailian on Mu Nanyin's wedding night. He severed Mu Nanyin's wrists, imprisoned her, and strangled her to death. He also had Seventh Concubine (who was pregnant) bestowed upon soldiers, where she committed suicide, and had Mu Qingyun executed via lingchi (death by a thousand cuts), bringing her father's meat in a blood-stained box. He is described as wearing bright yellow boots embroidered with gold thread and hiding deep-seated malice beneath a mask of hypocrisy.
