Shen Mu's mother who passed away when he was eight years old. She left behind many belongings and a diary. She owned a paired set of jade pendants - a mother pendant and a child pendant. She had a close childhood friend with whom she agreed to become in-laws. She gave the child pendant to this friend in advance and gave the mother pendant to Shen Mu after he was born. According to her diary, the friend later seemed to have had an accident with no further records.
