A middle-aged man of average height, the father of Da Ya and Er Ya, and son-in-law of Liu Laotou. He has a military background which helps him stay composed during emergencies. He works at or has connections to a provincial hospital where he arranged for the head of pediatrics to examine Da Ya. He frequently visits his father-in-law but is met with distrust. He is concerned about his daughters' wellbeing and takes responsibility for failing to protect his wife and children.
