Male minor character, the man who raised Qingyin single-handedly after her parents' death. He was a rural TCM doctor who lived by the principle of doing his best for every patient. He refused to charge those in financial hardship and sometimes gave medicine for free. He was gored by a wild boar while traveling through Shilan mountain roads at night to treat a patient. He refused life support in his final hours and asked not to be told about his condition so as not to disrupt Qingyin's college exams. He died with his last words being 'Do your best.'
