A renowned general, initially introduced only as a young man surnamed Qi. He was around thirteen or fourteen years old, traveling to pick up his teacher. He helped drive away bandits who attacked Miaozhen's boat near Zhenjiang. He disembarked at a landing ahead of Miaozhen's group.
