The daughter of Xu Laotai and the youngest daughter of the Xu grandparents. She is ten years old at the time of the story. She grew up and occupied one of the first branch's rooms in the family house at Maple Bridge. She sits at the children's table with Miaozhen and her cousin Miaoyun during the feast celebrating Eldest Uncle's return.
