An old man, the tenth generation of the Qi family doctors. He was once a prominent figure in Heilongjiang Province but now lives in dilapidated thatched huts. His apprentices and children have cut ties with him. He possesses ginseng seeds and silver needles, and initially refuses to take disciples due to past betrayals. He eventually accepts Song Li as his apprentice after being moved by her dedication to traditional Chinese medicine.
