She reads the couplets with disdain and challenges Du Heng, saying if his signboard doesn't fall she will acknowledge him as her brother-in-law, but if it falls she will tear down the tower with her own hands. Du Heng notes she values real substance and predicts she will become a regular customer if the food is good.
