Jiang Rao's distant cousin and one of Master Yan's personal disciples. He traveled from their hometown to Jinling for the Bai Lu Academy spring examinations but missed the exam after an argument with a carriage driver. Fourth Master Jiang wrote a letter of recommendation for him, and after an interview with Master Yan, he was admitted as a personal disciple despite the circumstances.
